How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use renewalftl.com, fill out a form, or text with us.

Renewal Church of God (“the Church,” “we,” “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to renewalftl.com, our Plan Your Visit form, connect cards at our services, and the text messages and emails we send.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you choose to give us:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number when you submit the Plan Your Visit form on this website or fill out a connect card at a service.
  • Details you share on that form, such as which Sunday you plan to come, how many people are coming, the ages of your kids, your preferred language, and anything you write in the notes.
  • Prayer requests or messages you send us by text, email, or through a form.

We also receive basic technical information automatically when you visit, such as your device type, browser, and the pages you view. See Cookies below.

2. How we use your information

We use your contact information to:

  • Get ready for your visit: a seat, your kids’ room, and a hello in your language.
  • Follow up with first-time visitors.
  • Confirm sign-ups and registrations for events and small groups.
  • Respond to prayer requests and questions.
  • Send church announcements, reminders, and updates.

We do not use your information for anything unrelated to the ministry of Renewal Church of God.

3. Text message communications

You choose whether we text you. When you check the text message box on a form on this website, or give us your phone number on a connect card at our services and ask to hear from us, you consent to receive text messages from Renewal Church of God. These may include a welcome after you plan a visit, reminders about Sundays, events, and small groups, prayer follow-up when you ask for it, and church announcements.

  • Consent is not a condition of visiting, joining, or receiving anything from the Church.
  • Message frequency varies based on your interaction with our church.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • To opt out at any time, reply STOP to any message. To request help, reply HELP or contact us at admin@renewalftl.com.

4. SMS opt-in data: no sharing policy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your SMS opt-in information or phone number with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. Your consent to receive text messages from Renewal Church of God is collected solely to enable direct communication between our church and you. This information is never transferred to outside parties for their own marketing use.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the text message services.

5. Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run the church’s communications. They process your information only on our behalf and only to provide their service to us:

  • Our forms, contact list, text messages, and email follow-up run on a communications platform (HighLevel, also known as LeadConnector) and the text messaging carriers and aggregators that deliver messages.
  • Church email runs on Google Workspace.
  • This website is hosted on Vercel. Videos are embedded from YouTube.

These providers have their own privacy policies. None of them is permitted to use your information for their own marketing.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to work properly, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used.

  • Essential: required for the site and the visit form to work.
  • Functional: remember your language choice (English or Spanish) on your device.
  • Analytics: help us understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are viewed and whether a form was completed. Our communications platform may set these.

Embedded YouTube videos load in privacy-enhanced mode. We do not use advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some features of the site may not work as well if you do.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share it only with the service providers named above, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our people.

8. Data security and retention

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access or disclosure. Access is limited to church staff and volunteers who need it to care for you. We keep your information while you stay connected with the church and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed, or when you ask us to.

9. Your choices

  • Text messages: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts.
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or write to us.
  • Your information: email admin@renewalftl.com to see, correct, or delete what we have about you.

10. Children

Our website, forms, and text messages are intended for adults 18 and older. Parents and guardians share their children’s ages with us so we can prepare the right kids’ room. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will appear on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
